More Lucasisms
-"When you look outside, you can't see raindrops because they are the same color as the whole wide world so you can't notice them."
-"I'm on the Falcons-Georgia-Bulldogs team and you are South Carolina." This is the case whenever we play football/soccer with him.
-"Santa is going to tiptoe down here and put in a swing set and a sandbox."
-At school, Lucas drew a jeep, skateboard and pick-up truck.
L: "Paul thought it was bad. But Audrey thought it was AWESOME! I like Audrey more than Paul."
Chris: "How did that make you feel when Paul said it was bad? Did it make you feel sad? Angry?"
L: "Bad."
C: "When you do art it doesn't matter what other people think. It matters how you feel in your heart."
L: "I felt stomping in my heart." Still talking about how he felt about Paul's comment. For the record, Paul has been Lucas's best friend eight times out of ten in the past two weeks. We are in a real prioritizing friendships phase.
-Last night, Sofia was sleeping well and I was enjoying a rare night of sleep myself. So, of course, Lucas took a turn a cried out at 4am. I came into his room and this is what he had for me.
L: "My dream was boring."
Me: "You had a bad dream?"
L: "No, it was boring."

Those are cute.
ReplyDeleteAnd on the last one: sometimes I think boredom truly is a kid's worst nightmare.
